DISNEY ULTIMATE PRINCESS CELEBRATION
For this collection, our collaborative effort extended globally, engaging a diverse group of product designers within our organization. We embarked on a quest to extract from each designer a profound narrative: "Which Disney Princess left an indelible mark on your journey to becoming the professional you are today?" The narratives shared were, without exception, profoundly moving and imbued with heartfelt sentiments.
In their responses, many designers recounted their fondest scenes from the Disney Princess stories and how those moments had a transformative impact on their careers as designers, both in general and within our company. This endeavor proved to be one of the most gratifying experiences at Disney, as it entailed not only listening attentively to our colleagues but also translating their imaginative visions of the ideal outfit for those cherished moments into tangible doll creations.
Throughout this creative journey, I had the privilege of gaining deeper insights into the personal stories and artistic aspirations of my coworkers. This newfound understanding was thoughtfully incorporated into each doll, where their distinctive personal image, sketches, and narratives were seamlessly integrated. This process added a layer of authenticity and depth to each creation, making it a profoundly enriching experience for all involved.
ICONS for days
I meticulously crafted each icon, a critical element subsequently integrated into our product offerings. My creative process involved developing geometric icons tailored to each Disney Princess and their respective doll designer's unique narrative. Furthermore, I extended this design concept to encompass supplementary illustrations, strategically positioned within the box windows. These illustrations served to harmoniously unite the geometric designs with the interior of the packaging, with careful consideration given to their relevance to the chosen liner.
For instance, in the case of Aurora, an intricate medieval candelabra was employed to adorn her castle-themed packaging, while Mulan's packaging featured detailed lanterns elegantly draping down. In Belle's case, a chandelier was thoughtfully incorporated, aligning the design elements with the individualized themes for each Princess.
