SIMPSONS

Sometimes I create some abstract shapes and styles and I may not know right away how they will be used. I just start out drawing and pulling shapes and colors until I find something that strikes my interest and a vision is created. For the Simpsons we were working with these abstract geometric shapes that create the characters. There really isn’t much that hasn’t been done for the Simpsons. We pulled every style we could think of for these projects and I loved the idea of the shapes overlapping and creating new colors. I also drew an icon for each character (i.e. saxophone or donut, etc.) the halftone is for the nod to the timespan that the Simpsons has been created prior to the prime of the digital age but it’s still a super successful franchise. This was just a concept, but was happy with how the art turned out.
